Days Out in Caithness

We are in the process of setting up local Caithness tours. Prices start at £30 per person for a two hour tour. Please contact us for details.

Tours by public transport
Brough Bay Ltd. has produced a series of tours by public transport to allow non car users to enjoy the great outdoors. Each tour is appended by information about bus and time timetables and route maps. So, whether you want to go gold panning in Kildonan, link up with a day trip to Orkney (June to September only) or take a train ride to Inverness, there is something for everyone. If you would like bespoke tours made up for you, please contact us and we can prepare them for you.

  • Tour 1 - Thurso to John o Groats by bus - a great journey along the north coast.
  • Tour 2 - Wick to John o Groats by bus - join up with the ferry day drips to Orkney during the summer months.
  • Tour 3 - Thurso to the planned village of Halkirk with its fascinating Ross Institute, great walks and an excellent pub!
